How It All Started

Stephen Rathje didn’t plan on starting an HVAC business in 2006. He just wanted a job that paid the bills. But after a few years in the trade, he realized something: he had a real knack for solving problems most people found frustrating. He liked the challenge, and he enjoyed helping people.

In 2019, he launched The Climate Doctor Heating & Cooling. What started with one man and a few tools grew into a team of certified HVAC technicions trusted all across Michigan’s Thumb. Today, we serve homes and small businesses from Pigeon to Bad Axe, and we still treat every job like it’s right next door.

We’re a family-owned HVAC company in Caseville MI, with over 100 years of combined experience. Our licensed and insured team handles everything from heating and cooling to clean air and water.

We’ve got a small crew that works smart, works clean, and works with pride. You’ll usually see Stephen himself on service calls, along with his right-hand techs. When we say we care about the job, we mean it. If something doesn’t go right, we fix it. No excuses.
